(15 April) Updated IPL Points Table After LSG vs CSK; Check the Orange Cap and Purple Cap Holders of IPL 2025!
(15 April) TATA IPL POINTS TABLE: The TATA IPL Points Table is going denser in the middle day by day with each match result. On Monday night show, Chennai Super Kings registered their second win of the season and this victory broke the 5-match losing streak of the Yellow Army.
It wasn't the batting display LSG is known for but this was really a reality check for them if Marsh, Markram, and Pooran fail any day of the week. We finally saw a few good runs from the skipper Rishabh Pant and his 63-run innings took LSG to at least a competitive total of 166 but would it ever be enough? NO, straightaway!
CSK started things off in fashion with Shaik Rasheed's extraordinary timing and placement. He along with Rachin Ravindra truly gave CSK a flying start in the powerplay. The middle order couldn't do much today but Impact sub Shivam Dube and skipper MS Dhoni took control of the innings after some quick wickets. They hammered down the 167-run target with ease with 3 balls to spear.
There is no change in the positions of the teams in the TATA IPL Points Table but this win was a must for CSK. They still are last in the standings but now have two wins in 7 matches with an NRR of -1.27.
Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, had a chance to top the table, have they won the match but the opportunity went begging and they are still in the fourth rank with eight points and an NRR of just below +1.
