(19 April) Updated IPL Points Table: The TATA IPL 2025 points table is getting tighter by the day, especially in the mid-pack. Yesterday, Punjab broke the deadlock to climb to the second spot with 10 points from seven matches, thanks to a brilliant bowling performance that turned the tide in their favor.

It was raining in Bangalore in pieces for the past 6 to 7 days, and it rained again yesterday, resulting in the delay of around two and a half hours for the toss. However, the match was played and was reduced to 14 overs each side, adding extra tension to an already high-stakes clash.

Punjab Kings won the toss and chose to bowl, a decision that quickly paid off. Arshdeep Singh struck in the opening over, while Bartlett added pressure with another powerplay wicket. The middle phase saw Marco Jansen and Yuzvendra Chahal put on a bowling masterclass, each grabbing two wickets while keeping the scoring rate minimal. Harpreet Brar cleaned up the lower order, and despite a spirited 50* from Tim David, RCB stumbled to a modest 95/9.

Chasing 96 in tricky conditions, Punjab had a mixed start, losing both openers inside four overs. Josh Hazlewood’s fiery spell (3/14) gave RCB hope, reducing PBKS to 49/4. However, Nehal Wadhera counterattacked with a match-turning 33* off 19 balls, dismantling the RCB spin attack with clean hitting. With 11 balls to spare, Marcus Stoinis sealed the deal with a towering six, giving Punjab their fifth win of the season and handing RCB another disappointing home defeat.

Let's take a look at the Latest Updated IPL Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap Lists:
