“There should be no cricket with Pakistan, not today, not ever.”

Goswami also recalled visiting Pahalgam once for a cricket event and said he was heartbroken after seeing what the place had turned into post-attack. 

He strongly called out Pakistan, saying that if such attacks on Indians continue, then the BCCI must cut all cricketing ties permanently. He termed the attack “completely unacceptable” and demanded strict action.

While the India vs Pakistan cricket ban news demand is now gaining public support, it's important to note that India has already not played any bilateral series with Pakistan since the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

  • All players and match officials will wear black armbands.

  • A minute of silence will be observed before the match begins.

  • The BCCI has also canceled cheerleaders and firecracker celebrations for the evening.
