IPL 2022 Mega Auction: With the abrupt indefinite suspension of the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), all the focus of the fans have been shifted towards the strategies of the franchises in the upcoming Mega Auction in 2022. With the addition of two new teams, the Indian Premier League (IPL) will become a ten teams affair.
The best part about the Auctions is that half of the war in the IPL is won or lost there when franchises indulge in the bidding wars and pick players. The same will happen in the Mega Auction 2022.
All the teams will have to start afresh with a couple of similar faces. Teams can retain three players while RTM cards can be used on only two players (one overseas and one uncapped Indian).
This rule can force the Mumbai Indians (MI) to leave some prominent mainstay middle-order batsmen. Suryakumar Yadav is one of them, who has excelled in the Indian T20 League over the last couple of years. With his exploits in the IPL, he stunned everyone in the International format in his debut game only.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):
The orange army didn’t have a season they would have liked. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) occupied the last place in the points table with six losses in the seven games they played.
The main reason which comes up behind this failure is their extremely fragile and in-consistent middle order.
The middle-order was under the scanner for all these games. After a good start from the openers, in no time Sunrisers Hyderabad tends to lose a couple of wickets which cost them the game. The middle-order never really felt comfortable taking off in the IPL 2021.
Suryakumar Yadav will be a good addition to the team. A dashing batter with a dynamic range of shots. He can play sensibly when the team requires and can also accelerate the innings from the ball one.
If SRH can resolve the issue of middle order, the team can excel in the upcoming seasons.
Punjab Kings (PBKS):
Though the franchise is packed with big hitters of T20 cricket, Punjab Kings (PBKS) continued their custom to shine in patches. In this season also, Punjab had only three wins in the eight games which sometimes pointed out that the franchise might lose the playoff berth once again.
Despite having hitters like Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran and Dawid Malan, Punjab Kings struggled to find an aggressor at the death.
The skipper KL Rahul likes to play more of an anchor rather than an aggressor, the inclusion of the batter with the abilities to play 360 degrees will be the cherry on the cake.
Suryakumar Yadav with his ability to score runs all over the park can easily complement KL Rahul’s anchored innings in the middle order. Yadav will not only provide stability to the Punjab squad but also reduce the over-reliance on the big hitters.
