India National Cricket Team were jolted by the injury concern ahead of the first game of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy against Bangladesh. This was because Rishabh Pant faced a blow on the left knee during the first training session at the ICC Academy in Dubai. 

Rishabh Pant got injured after Hardik Pandya hit a shot in the nets which went straight on the left knee of keeper-batter. He looked in pain and was down on the ground before physios came rushing and attended him. 

Rishabh Pant was given the ice treatment before physios covered his left knee with the heavy strapping. The keeper-batter looked in discomfort and reportedly seemed to limp while walking. However, despite the pain, he came out to bat and underwent a quality session. 

With Rishabh Pant looking in pain, a lot of concerns were raised over his availability for the first game of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy of the India National Cricket Team. But the reports in RevSportz have come up with positive news for the fans. 

It is learned that Rishabh Pant is absolutely fine and will be available for selection for the India National Cricket Team's first game against Bangladesh in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The report added that keeper-batter looked in some discomfort as well but there are no serious concerns.

Rishabh Pant is unlikely to feature in the Indian XI for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy clash against Bangladesh. This is because, he is being seen as a backup to KL Rahul, who got the backing of head coach Gautam Gambhir after the three-match ODI series against England. 

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is all set to begin on 19th February. India National Cricket Team will play Bangladesh on 20th February at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Their next game will be against Pakistan, which will be played on 23rd February before taking on New Zealand on 2nd March.
