ENGvsIND: Team India recently suffered a blow as opener batsman Shubman Gill triggered his shin stress injury in the recently concluded ICC World Test Championship. The cricketer is expected to be out of a couple of test matches against England, starting August 4.
Gill was carrying a shin injury and during the WTC Final the injury troubled him, said a senior BCCI official.
The injury will take about eight to ten weeks of time to completely heal and recover and the cricketer is expected to sit out of the whole test series.
A senior BCCI official also said that the Indian management will not be too desperate to have the services of the youngsters in the last test as India is carrying a couple of other specialist openers in the squad.
