Vivo IPL 2021: 3 Indian Cricketers who can wreak havoc in Phase 2 of the Vivo IPL 2021 in the UAE.

Vivo IPL 2021: Phase 2 of the Vivo IPL 2021, which consists of 31 IPL games, is all set to begin its ride in the UAE in the coming month of September-October, the BCCI confirmed after the Special General Meeting on 29th May.

Indian cricketers and fans would be really excited for the resumption of the cash-rich league. As per the media sources, the tournament is likely to begin on a one month window from September 19 onwards.

The Indian players after the completion of the India-England test tour will directly head to the UAE for the remaining 31 games, making a bubble-to-bubble transfer.

Here in this article, we will discuss 3 Indian cricketers who can wreak havoc in the Phase 2 of the Vivo IPL 2021 in UAE.

3 Indian Cricketers who can wreak havoc in the Phase 2 of the Vivo IPL 2021 in UAE:

KL Rahul:

KL Rahul

The Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper KL Rahul is certainly going to have a blasting season with willow in hand. He was the leading run-scorer for his team and was playing sensational cricket, however, unfortunate appendicitis halted his campaign as he had to go through surgery.

Leading from the front, KL Rahul plundered 331 runs in just seven innings for his team at an average of 66.20.

Besides this, Rahul was in scintillating form in the Dream11 IPL 2020 which was held in the UAE. Although his team failed to have a steady season, KL went on to score 670 runs in just 14 innings.

He was the top scorer of season 13 and was adjudged as the orange cap winner. This time around, recovering back from his unfortunate injury, Rahul might continue his form and wreak havoc in the remaining games.

Shreyas Iyer:

Delhi Capitals (DC) had to make a change in the plans as their regular skipper Shreyas Iyer was ruled out of the complete Vivo IPL 2021 due to a shoulder injury that he sustained during India vs England limited-overs series.

Iyer, who has been doing his rehab and gradually picking up the pace, will be eager to go out in the middle and score runs. If he gets fit, surely he will pick up where he left in the Dream11 IPL 2020.

In the previous edition of the lucrative league, Iyer was in the top bracket of leading run-scorers. In 17 innings, Iyer amassed 519 runs at an average of 34.60.

If he comes back, he will also take up the captaincy reins from his DC wicketkeeper, Rishabh Pant.

Jasprit Bumrah:

It won’t be fair to say that Jasprit Bumrah was out of touch in the first half of the Vivo IPL 2021.

Despite not having an ideal season, Bumrah maintained his economy and was very crucial for Mumbai Indians (MI) every time he was handed the ball.

In the now-suspended IPL 2021, the right arm speedster managed to pick 6 wickets in seven games which surely doesn’t compliment his calibre in the format. He bowled with an economy of 7.11 and brought Mumbai Indians (MI) into the game multiple times.

In the last IPL, he was one of the key bowlers to pick up wickets every now and then. He remained in the list of top wicket-takers in 2020 with 27 scalps in 15 games.

His economy in the IPL 2020, which was won by Mumbai Indians, was fairly below seven and was averaging just 14.96.

Definitely, you cannot keep him out of the game for long and once the IPL gets a fresh start once again, Bumrah will surely ravage the opposition.
