3 Players on which Mumbai Indians might use Right To Match (RTM):
Hardik Pandya:
The Indian dashing all-rounder will certainly be one of the key players on whom MI will use the RTM card in the IPL 2022 Auction. Although, IPL 2021 was not his year as he failed to contribute with both bat and ball however the franchise understands his capabilities.
If by any chance, Hardik goes to the IPL auction, he can surely shatter all the previous records and create one of his own. He is a brutal player, he can turn the game on the given day. With his added bowling skills which he has improved a lot, he becomes an even more lethal weapon for the team.
Suryakumar Yadav:
As said earlier, the Mumbai Indians will have to do a lot of brainstorming before heading out to the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Every player in the list has all the qualities to get retained but due to the rules of the IPL, MI will have to get satisfied with something less.
Suryakumar Yadav is just another example of Mumbai Indians (MI) brilliant auction strategy. The franchise brought him from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) back in 2018 and since then he is a regular player for MI and a consistent performer. He has amassed over 400 runs in each IPL season for MI since 2018.
Trent Boult:
The Kiwi pacer will be another option ahead of Mumbai Indians (MI) to use the Right To Match (RTM) card. He was exceptional in the IPL 2020 after Mumbai traded him from Delhi Capitals (DC). He picked up 25 wickets in IPL 2020 and was the third-highest wicket-taker.
His abilities to swing upfront gives him an extra edge over other pacers in the squad. He was quite successful this year in death also. In IPL 2021, most of his wickets came in the death overs.
The pair of Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult has won many games for MI and the franchise will want that pair to continue.
