Anrich Nortje:

The South African pacer had a good outing in the IPL 2020 which was held in UAE. Although, he didn’t get a single game in this edition’s IPL due to the presence of Indian bowlers who did really well throughout. It will be a good choice for DC to pick him as a backup pacer.

He troubled the batsman with his express pace and perfect execution in the IPL 2020. Along with his South African compatriot Kagiso Rabada, he became effective and won games for the franchise.

DC might retain him through the Right To Match (RTM) card in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

Shikhar Dhawan:

The Indian southpaw, Shikhar Dhawan gave a befitting reply to all those who said that he cannot play T20 Cricket. Dhawan opening the innings was the main building block of Delhi’s success in all these years.

In the last two years, Dhawan has scored massive runs and won games for DC. In just 8 games in the Vivo IPL 2021, he amassed 380 runs and was the leading run-scorer for the tournament.

Under the coaching of Ricky Ponting, he has improved his techniques and takes time initially to settle him up and access the pitch. It’s really unfortunate to see him getting dropped from the Indian side in the shortest format despite scoring runs in bulk.
