3 Players on whom Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) might use the Right To Match Card (RTM):

Glenn Maxwell:

The Aussie all-rounder has liked to play alongside Virat Kohli and his idol AB de Villiers. Despite having a poor run in the IPL 2020 for Punjab Kings, the RCB showed faith in the cricketer and purchased him in the IPL 2021 auctions. Maxwell this time didn’t let his new franchise down and scored crucial runs for the team.

He remained the top scorer for RCB in IPL 2021 with 223 runs in six innings. After donning the RCB colours, Maxwell has found his way to hit the ball in the IPL and the franchise would want to take his services in the coming years.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) might use the Right To Match (RTM) card on him in the IPL 2022 Mega Auctions.

Devdutt Padikkal:

The 21-years old southpaw, Devdutt Padikkal will be the first choice player to get retained either by using the retention policy or with the Right to Match card (RTM). Padikkal who hails from Karnataka is consistently contributing to the team’s success.

Over the last couple of year’s, he has scored runs in bulk in the domestic circuits and has shattered many records. Padikkal has also smacked a brilliant ton against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2021.

He is a bright prospect for the franchise going ahead many more years. The management will surely back him and his services.

Harshal Patel:

Harshal Patel was traded by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from Delhi Capitals (DC) in an all-cash deal before the IPL 2021 Auction. It will be safe to say that he played a major role in RCB’s success in the Vivo IPL 2021.

He was effective in death overs where he picked most of his wickets. In the now suspended Vivo IPL 2021, Harshal Patel scalped 17 wickets in just seven games which include a maiden five-wicket haul against Mumbai Indians.

With his exceptional death bowling skills, the franchise might retain him using the Right To Match card (RTM) in the IPL 2022 Mega Auctions.
