IPL 2021: 3 Possible replacement Rajasthan Royals (RR) can call for Jofra Archer in IPL 2021 Phase 2:
3. Mitchell McClenaghan:
The veteran New Zealand muscular pacer Mitchell McClenaghan could fill up the void left by the unavailability of Jofra Archer in Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2021. The quick has a fine record during his stay at international fixtures.
He played for New Zealand in 29 T20Is and scalped 30 wickets with a decent economy of 7.79.
He has also been part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) featuring Mumbai Indians (MI). He possesses a brilliant record in the IPL.
He played five seasons for Mumbai Indians (MI) and clipped off 71 wickets in 56 appearances. Although he was quite expensive, his bowling style has kept MI amongst wickets.
Once again, he can take the ball and deliver for Rajasthan Royals (RR). In the absence of any senior pacer in RR, the kiwi quick can take up the role and also assist the young guns.

2. Matt Henry:
Another New Zealand quick who can replace Jofra Archer is Matt Henry. The right-arm pacer needs no introduction as he was the one who rattled through the Indian top order in the 2019 ODI World Cup Semi-Final.
Henry is a potent weapon for New Zealand in white-ball setup, especially in the ODI’s. The pacer has a knack for picking early wickets to provide the best possible start.
His IPL run has been very skinny with just 2 games played in 2017 and since then he has not featured in the league.
He went unsold in the recent IPL 2021 mini-auctions.
Talking about his ODI stats, Henry has scalped 98 wickets in 55 ODI games for New Zealand.
1. Sheldon Cottrell:
The 31 years old Jamaican pacer Sheldon Cottrell could be one of the pacer who can replace the likes of Archer.
Cottrell made his IPL debut in 2020 and went unsold in the 2021 auctions due to his expensive nature. The pacer picked up six wickets in as many games before he was benched by Kings XI Punjab.
Although he might not be the ideal choice to replace Jofra Archer, he surely can fit in the slot.
The pacer has a decent white ball career for West Indies. He has played 30 T20Is and picked 37 wickets while in his ODI appearances he has picked 49 wickets in 35 games.
