Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player Quinton de Kock played a blinder of an innings against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2025. The keeper-batter set the stage on fire in the 6th game of the tournament at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

Quinton de Kock, who failed to set the stage on fire in the first game, made sure that he came up with a sensational effort with the bat against Rajasthan Royals. Opening the innings, he was the shining light for his team as Kolkata Knight Riders ended up winning the game with utmost ease.

Quinton de Kock, who scored an unbeaten 97 runs, slammed Rajasthan Royals bowlers all over the park. His best came in the 18th over against Jofra Archer, where he made a mockery of the England pacer. The opening batter slammed 16 runs off three balls to seal the game for his team.

Quinton de Kock started the over with a four between mid-wicket and mid-on. After that, he slammed a brilliant six behind square into the stands. On the third ball, the opening batter then hit another six over long-on to end the game against Kolkata Knight Riders with a maximum.

Coming to the match, Kolkata Knight Riders registered their first win of the IPL 2025 as they beat Rajasthan Royals by eight wickets. Asked to bat, Rajasthan had a decent start to their innings, with Yashasvi Jaiswal (29) and Sanju Samson (13) stitching 33 runs for the opening stand.

Stand-in skipper Riyan Parag (25) looked good with the bat but Kolkata spinners turned the game for their side. Moeen Ali and Varun Chakravarthy restricted the run flow in middle overs along with picking wickets at regular intervals, leaving Rajasthan at 110 for six.

Dhruv Jurel (33) was the top run-getter for his team as he continued his good form and made sure that Rajasthan posted a fighting total of 151 for nine.

Kolkata's move to promote Moeen Ali to the top didn't pay off, as the all-rounder fell for just five runs. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane (18) looked good but failed to carry on the start.

But the hero of the innings for the defending champions was Quinton de Kock (97*). Opening the innings, the left-hander carried his bat through and played a magical innings to take his team home. Angkrish Raghuvanshi (22*) supported him well as their unbeaten 83-run stand saw Kolkata win the game by eight wickets.
