India vs Sri Lanka: Squads, Schedule, Venues, Timing, Broadcasting, and all you need to know: After a mixed tour of Bangladesh, where Team India took the Test series 2-0 but lost the ODI series, the Men in Blue will host Sri Lanka to start the new year in 2023. Next month, Dasun Shanaka’s team will visit the subcontinent for two white ball series, where the two Asian teams will compete in three T20 Internationals and as many ODIs.
The T20 action begins on January 3 in Mumbai, with the final T20I on January 7. Following that, the ODI leg will begin on 10 January and conclude on 15 January, after which the Men in Blue will welcome New Zealand to the subcontinent.
Late at night on 27th December, BCCI announced the squads for T20Is and ODIs with Hardik leading the former and Rohit Sharma leading the latter. BCCI announced 16 membered T20I squads and so many for ODIs.
On the eve of 28 December, Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee selected the 20-member ‘hybrid’ squad to take part in the upcoming Sri Lanka tour of India 2022/23. Dasun Shanaka will lead the Sri Lankan side for both T20I and ODI series. Left-handed strike batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Nuwan Thushara are named in the squad only for T20Is whereas Jeffrey Vandersay and Nuwanidu Fernando are mentioned only in ODI squads.
