India U19 Women’s team into the semifinals: India, under the leadership of Shefali Varma, has advanced to the ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup semifinals. India is one of the four semifinalists in the inaugural ICC Women’s U19 World Cup. India topped the standings of Group 1 at the super-6 stage. The four Semi-Finalists are India and Australia from Group 1, and England and New Zealand from Group 2.
The Indian U19 Women’s team is displaying the class and has won 3 games out of 4 with a Net Run Rate of +2.884. India hold the record for the highest innings score by any team in the U19 Women’s division in T20I i.e., 219/3
New Zealand, on the other hand, have won all the Super-6 game and won them with domination securing a very high Net Run Rate of +4.524. They will lock horns against the Group 1 table topper India U19 on January 27 in JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom (South Africa) at 1:30 PM IST.
The table topper for Group 2, England will face Australia, the 2nd in Group 1 on the same day during the evening shift at 7:15 PM IST. There is a reserve day allotted on January 28, which will be taken into consideration if rain or such interrupts the play. January 29 will see the final of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup.
