IND vs AUS 3rd ODI: India, however, was able to snatch a victory on the 1st ODI from a situation where they could have lost the match, but Australia didn’t lose the grip on the 2nd ODI and won the low-scoring contest by 10 wickets. Here are a few possible changes that can be made by the respective teams and best playing11 of India against Australia in the 3rd ODI.

The hosts were bowled out for 117, which is their fourth-lowest score in a home ODI, as the Indian batting line crumbled for the second time in a row. Both matches saw the top and middle-order collapse. The Men in Blue have once again been exposed in front of left-arm pace and swing bowling. India also picked three spinners in the second ODI. Adam Zampa was the sole spinner for Australia. Such decisions actually raise a few questions in the minds of viewers, Is it possible that India misread the situation? Is India’s decision to field an additional all-rounder bowler a result of their lack of faith in the batting specialist? All these questions will have to be answered ahead of the IND vs AUS 3rd ODI.

The third and decisive ODI between India and Australia is going to be played on 22 March (Wednesday) at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai where the hosts and the visitors, both will seek to win the series with all forces. Down below are some changes that India can make for the IND vs AUS 3rd ODI and the best playing 11 of India and Australia.

IND vs AUS 3rd ODI: Possible changes for India

The bowling was to the point in the first ODI and almost a similar bowling lineup was fielded by Team India in the second ODI. To be honest, in the second ODI, bowling was not the bigger concern, it was team India’s batting that was on the downside. But the injury of Shreyas Iyer has not left many options for team India at this point in time.

  • Umran Malik in for Mohammad Shami?

Umran Malik might replace Mohammed Shami if team management has workload worries with a WTC final approaching. On Tuesday, Malik spent a significant amount of time bowling.

  • Ishan Kishan in place of Surya Kumar Yadav?

Although Ishan owns a double century in this ODI format, he may fail to get into the playing 11. Suryakumar’s position in the lineup poses no threat because Shreyas Iyer is injured and there are no other middle-order batters on the team. The only specialist batsman not included in the playing 11 for the second ODI was Ishan Kishan.

In Rohit’s absence from the first ODI, the Jharkhand opener did have the opportunity to start with Shubman Gill, but he was ineffective and could only muster three runs. But, Rohit has supported Suryakumar and said that the Mumbai batsman would receive more opportunities to demonstrate his value.

  • Chahal in for Axar Patel?

Chahal can be a part of the team and replace Axar Patel. By this way, we can see KUL-CHA in the action again in the ODIs. But this situation has a minimal probability as the team’s batting is already weak and adding a bowler in place of an allrounder is not an ideal move at this time. But Chahal’s inclusion might give rest to Kuldeep Yadav on the bench.
