Punjab Kings have also won the first two matches defeating KKR (by 7 runs by DLS method) and RR (by 5 runs). They are currently No. 2 in the IPL points table. KKR lost the first one but bounced back stronger in the second match and beat RCB by 81 runs. SRH have played only played 1 match till date and stand last in the table with NRR of -3.600, the least among all 10 teams.
We saw the recently added “impact player” feature and the contribution that additional player can make. The IPL 2023’s first impact player was CSK’s Tushar Deshpande.
Kane Williamson suffered a knee injury in The Titans’ season’s opening game, making it uncertain whether he would be available for the World Cup. It is a huge setback for New Zealand Cricket Team where the injury has put down his World Cup availability in dark.
