GT vs KKR Highlights: The 25-year-old batsman for the Kolkata Knight Riders performed something that has happened extremely infrequently in cricket history. He scored five sixes in a row in the final over to give Kolkata an amazing victory over the Gujarat Titans on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Rashid Khan led Gujarat as Hardik Pandya was out of the squad. After winning the toss, Rashid chose to bat. In 20 overs, Gujarat amassed 204 runs for four wickets. Rashid Khan’s hat-trick in the 17th over almost put Kolkata out of the match. To win, Kolkata needed to score 29 runs in the last over. However, 25-year-old uncapped player Rinku Singh smashed five straight sixes to win the game for Kolkata.

Rinku’s five straight sixes in Yash Dayal’s final over gave Kolkata a stunning victory. Kolkata had to score 28 runs in five deliveries after Umesh Yadav made one run on the first ball. In the subsequent five balls, Rinku hit sixes.
What did Rinku say in the press conference?
He said, “My father objected to me watching cricket. He opposed my wasting my time on cricket. I used to receive physical abuse occasionally for my intransigence. My father used to stand with a stick waiting for me when I got home from playing. My brothers, on the other hand, encouraged me and used to press me to play cricket. Back then, I lacked the funds to purchase the ball. I also received some assistance from others.
