Prithvi Shaw Selfie Case: The DC opener is facing the down phase on the field and off the field as well. As per the recent development in the Prithvi Shaw-Sapna Gill brawl, the Bombay High Court Issues Notice against Prithvi Shaw and 10 Others On Sapna Gill’s Petition.
The Bombay High Court, today, issued a notice against Prithvi Shaw and certain police personnel as well as his friends in response to the plea of social media influencer Sapna Gill. Sapna Gill went to Bombay to request the FIR against her be dropped. This was discussed on Thursday at the Bombay High Court.
The FIR was lodged by Prithvi Shaw in February this year in Oshiwara police station in Mumbai after Gill and her friends got into a scuffle with Shaw and some of his friends outside a hotel in suburban Mumbai over taking selfies.
Then, Gill filed a countercomplaint against the 23-year-old. In response to Gill’s request to have the FIR against her dismissed, a division bench of Justices SB Shukre and MM Sathaye on Thursday sent notices to the police and Shaw and scheduled a hearing for June.
Reports claim that when the cricketer allegedly denied an ask for a photograph, Gill and her companion Shobhit Thakur engaged in a dispute with Shaw and his buddy Ashish Yadav. According to the allegation made by the Mumbai-born cricketer, Gill and her pals allegedly assaulted Shaw’s car after he denied what they ask. One of them allegedly even broke the rear windscreen with a baseball bat.
The 23-year-old, who is now featuring in the 2023 Indian Premier League, has struggled since his batting hasn’t been on point. Shaw, who is a player of the Delhi Capitals, has only averaged 8.50 runs across four innings while playing for the team. While Delhi has had a terrible start to their campaign, losing all four of their games thus far in the league, the opening batter Shaw has scores of 12, 7, 0, and 15 to his name in the current campaign.
We will share more updates regarding any development in this matter.
