RCB skipper Virat Kohli held his ground for a bit but he was a lone warrior and lost his wicket after scoring yet another half-century. Following Virat’s wicket, the rest of the RCB batting was outfoxed by KKR bowlers. In 20 overs, RCB could only manage 179 runs and lost the game by 21 runs.

RCB pacer Mohammad Siraj scalped a wicket against KKR in the last game and got the IPL 2023 purple cap again. Siraj has 14 wickets from eight innings.
KKR spinner Varun Chakravarthy took three wickets against RCB and made a significant jump in the IPL 2023 Purple Cap leaderboard. Varun is now placed in third place with 13 wickets form eight innings.
