Pakistani innings were started by Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq. There was a 124-run partnership for the first wicket for both batsmen. Fakhar Zaman scored 117 runs in 114 balls with the help of 13 fours and a six. Imam-ul-Haq scored 60 runs in 65 balls with five fours and a six.

Babar Azam made a change in the batting order and batted at number three. He scored 49 runs in 46 balls with the help of three fours and a six.
