IPL 2023: Andre Russell Becomes the Third Player to Reach 600 Sixes in T20 Cricket

IPL 2023: Andre Russell reached 600 sixes in T20 cricket and became the third player to reach this significant milestone after hitting their 600th six against Mayank Markande during SRH vs KKR IPL match.

Andre Russell completed this milestone in the 446th T20 match in IPL 2023 Match No.47. Russell played a fantastic knock of 24 runs in just 15 balls with two sixes and one four to help KKR to reach the target of 171 runs after the end of the first inning. Now, Russell has played 108 IPL matches for KKR from 2011 to present.

Andre Russell has now become the third player to achieve this milestone, joining the elite West Indians club of Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard. He became the third player in the world after universe boss Chris Gayle and Pollard to complete 600 sixes in T20 Cricket, including T20I, IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, and many more Leagues.

Andre Russell played 108 IPL matches, and he scored 2,201 runs with 188 sixes and 147 fours in the T20I format, he hit 62 sixes at a strike rate of 175.57. Currently, he is in 10th position in the list of a total number of sixes in IPL. In IPL 2023, he already hit 13 sixes and it is anticipated that he would reach the mark of 200 sixes in IPL this season.

Andre Russell is playing T20 leagues only due to injury and work pressure. He is continuously playing IPL, BBL, and CPL and making a lot of money. After achieving a milestone of 600 sixes in T20 cricket, he is only behind his teammate Chris Gayle who hits more than 1000 sixes in the T20 format.
