A Youngster, Josh Tongue, bowled well on day 1 and was leading the Pace Attack for England as he took two wickets, whereas Ollie Robinson got one wicket.

At the end of Day 1, Australia looked in a good position, and if they could continue on Day 2, then this game again could go in favour of the Australian team as they would have good runs on the scoreboard. They also had a good bowling attack, so England needs to come up with new plans to stop Australia early on day 2.
