IND vs WI: It’s been quite a while since we got updates about our favourite Indian players. Team India has been inactive since their loss against Australia in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 Final. A month-long break of the Indian players is about to conclude as we draw closer to the India tour of West Indies 2023.
A contingent of Indian players and support staff has already landed in Barbados for their IND vs WI assignments. As informed by the cricketers by their social media posts, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin and Shardul Thakur, reached West Indies on July 1.
The India tour of West Indies 2023 will commence with a two-game Test match series in Dominica and Trinidad. The two sides will then shift their gears for the 50-over series, which comprises three matches, followed by a long five-match T20I series in the West Indies and USA.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on July 3rd, Monday posted a 106-second video on its Twitter handle which showed some light moments shared by the Indian cricketers ahead of their tedious tour. The players can be seen playing beach volleyball.

Team India’s strength and conditioning coach, Soham Desai confirmed that the players will undergo some light training tomorrow onwards i.e., Tuesday.
While some of the players have already joined the Indian squad for the West Indies series, which begins on July 12 with the first of the two-match test series, a number of players will arrive in due time.
