Asia Cup 2023: WATCH – Shreyas Iyer attains near full fitness as he fields during the practice game

Asia Cup 2023: The Indian team are on the cusp of receiving a piece of good news as their premier middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer is all set to attain full fitness. This comes as a massive boost for the team ahead of the two upcoming major events in Asia Cup and ICC World Cup 2023

Shreyas Iyer took part in the practice game at NCA. He was seen batting as well as was seen fielding. This gives quite an indication that he will soon be donning the Indian jersey. He along with KL Rahul took part in the practice game and was seen covering good ground.

In the video that has gone viral on the internet, Shreyas Iyer can be seen running hard areas and doing fielding as well. The Indian squad is likely to announce the squad on 20th August for Asia Cup and it is expected that he might make it into the team.

Here’s the video:

Shreyas Iyer will be making his comeback to the team after the prolonged injury. The batter complained of back pain during the Test series against Australia earlier this year and since then has been out of action, missing IPL as well as the ICC WTC Final.
