IPL 2024: [Updated] Remaining Purse Value of 10 IPL Teams after Player Retentions And Release on NOV 26: Just a few more weeks before we finally head to the auction room for the IPL 2024. The player retention and release deadline has been finished and all 10 IPL teams have formalised their squad. November 26 was the last day to retain and release the players to the auction pool.

Almost all 10 IPL teams have retained their core set of players, almost being predictable. However, there were a couple of big names that were released into the auction pool, surprising the pundits.

A few of the shocking player releases ahead of the IPL 2024 Auctions were – Wanindu Hasaranga (RCB), Jofra Archer (MI), Shardul Thakur (KKR) and Shahrukh Khan (PBKS) among others.

The IPL 2024 Auction is set to be held on December 19 in Dubai. This is the first time the IPL auction has been moved out of India by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

While the players have been retained by all 10 IPL teams, the trade window is still open and teams can engage in player trade until a week prior to the IPL 2024 Auction on December 19. The teams can still trade players from the retained list until December 12.

Heading to the IPL 2024 Auction, the teams with big purse value will get an upper hand over the teams with fairly lesser value. The BCCI has allocated a massive INR 100 Crores to each of the 10 IPL teams for player retention and purchase during the auction. Notably, an increment of INR 5 crores was added to the purse of each franchise, making it INR 100 crores.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has the highest purse value ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction, while Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will head to the auction table with the lowest purse value. IPL 2024: Remaining Purse Value of 10 IPL Teams [Updated]

Rajasthan Royals (RR) –

RR have INR 14.5 crores of purse remaining out of INR 100 Crores.

Mumbai Indians (MI) –

Mumbai Indians (MI) have INR 15.25 crores of remaining purse value for the IPL 2024 Auction.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) –

MS Dhoni’s CSK will have INR 31.4 crores to spend on the purchase of players during the auction.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) –

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have INR 34 crores of remaining purse value out of the INR 100 Crore pool.

Delhi Capitals (DC) –

Delhi Capitals (DC) have managed to vacant INR 28.95 crore of the purse value for IPL 2024 Auction.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) –

PBKS have INR 29.1 crore of remaining purse value for the IPL 2024 Auction.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) –

The highest amongst all, RCB have a whopping INR 40.75 crores of purse remaining.

Gujarat Titans (GT) –

Gujarat Titans (GT) have INR 13.85 crore to spend on the players during the auction.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) –

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) managed to free up INR 32.7 crores for the Auction.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) –

The lowest among all, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have INR 13.15 crore left for the IPL 2024 Auction.
