PAK vs AUS: PCB Announces New Batting Coach of Pakistan Men’s Team Ahead of Australia Tour

PAK vs AUS: PCB Announced New Batting Coach of Pakistan Men’s Team Ahead of Australia Tour: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed the former England cricketer Adam Hollioake as the new batting coach of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team, who will be starting his journey with Pakistan in the Australia Tour.

Pakistan will be playing the three-match test series with Australia, which is scheduled to start next month. After Pakistan’s failure in the ODI World Cup 2023, PCB made many changes in the coaching staff of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team.

Hollioake has played four test matches and 35 one-day internationals for England. Adam Hollioake will be the new batting coach, who will be playing a crucial role for Pakistan as he will be part of the team in the three-test match against Australia.

Adam Hollioake is an experienced coach who was part of the coaching staff for Hong Kong, England Lions, and Boost Defenders. He was also part of the England Team in the last Ashes series, which was played in Australia, but, unfortunately, he was detected as COVID-19 positive at that time and wasn’t able to serve his country.

Pakistan performed poorly in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, and in response to it, Babar Azam resigned from all formats as the captain of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team. Also, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made significant changes in the coaching staff.

PAK vs AUS, New Captain and Coaches of Pakistan ahead of Australia tour:

After Babar Azam, Shan Masood is going to lead the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team in the three-match test series against Australia. Shaheen Shah Afridi will be leading Pakistan in the T20I format, whereas the ODI captain is yet to be announced by PCB.

Naveed Akram Cheema replaced Grant Bradburn as the new head coach of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team, whereas Mohd. Hafeez replaced Mickey Arthur as the new team director after Pakistan failed in the ODI World Cup 2023.

Most importantly, after the Australia Tour, Pakistan will play a crucial T20I series with New Zealand, which will help them prepare for the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2024. PCB’s decision to make such changes before the Australia series is to get momentum before the T20I series against New Zealand.
