While all the talks of late in Indian cricket of late has been about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s future in the T20Is, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar gave a huge take on KL Rahul.
The reputed commentator opened up about the T20I future of KL Rahul. He made a bold claim saying that BCCI has realised that they have got more better and exciting options than him in the shortest format of the game, especially with the T20 World Cup 2024 around the corner.
Sanjay Manjrekar admitted that Rahul has been brilliant in Tests and ODIs but things aren’t looking good for him in the T20Is. He said that selectors aren’t even looking at him. India notably has given opportunities to young guys in Jaiswal, Gaikwad, Tilak and many more.
KL Rahul last played for India in the shortest format of the game in the T20 World Cup 2022. After that, he has been sidelined from the setup. He didn’t have a great tournament and after that failed to set the stage on fire in IPL as well.
