The second IND vs ENG Test is just a sleep away from now. The match is all set to take place on Friday (2nd February) at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. England are 1-0 ahead in the series following their 28-run win in Hyderabad and would be eager to extend their lead.
IND vs ENG: James Anderson returns as England announces their playing 11 for the second Test
With IND vs ENG second Test match just a few hours away from now, the England cricket team has announced their playing 11. Veteran James Anderson has been included in the team whereas Jack Leach has been ruled out of the second game due to the injury he suffered in the last match.
The opening pair of Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley have retained their spot in the team for the second IND vs ENG game. The duo were decent with the bat in the first match and played aggressively at the start. They would be hoping to continue the same approach in the second match.
Ollie Pope along with Joe Root will be batting at No.3 and 4 for England in the second Test respectively. Pope, who slammed 196 in the first game, would be hoping to continue his dream run whereas Root would have to have a point to prove in the second IND vs ENG Test.
Jonny Bairstow and skipper Ben Stokes will hold the key for the team in the middle order. They looked in solid touch in game 1. Ben Foakes has also retained his spot as a keeper in the team. He was sensational with the gloves in the first game and played a decent hand with the ball as well.
Rehan Ahmed and Tom Hartley will be the spinners in the team along with Shoaib Bashir. He will be making his debut for the team and will be replacing Jack Leach. James Anderson has also been slotted in and will be replacing Mark Wood in the team.
