(29 February) ICC Test Player Rankings (Rank 1 to 10) Updated: Indian youngster Jaiswal continues to make big gains as the ICC have released the latest updated ICC Test Player Rankings. The Rankings are updated after the IND vs ENG fourth Test and Indian players have made hay while the sun shone. This post reads the latest Updated ICC Test Player Rankings after the IND vs ENG 4th test.

Team India has won the India vs England Test series 3-1 after the four test matches. The outcome of the last test, to be played in Dharamshala, may modify the scoreline but won’t affect the series result. This is the first series loss for England ever since they adopted the new attacking brand of cricket.
Indian and English players have made good numbers in the latest updated Test Player Rankings. Joe Root, who was demoted to 5th rank after the third test, made a good comeback with a century in the fourth test and grabbed his third spot back. He made a huge 33 ratings gain in the latest standings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal has been the player to grab the most out of this India vs England test series. He is currently the batsman with the most runs in the tournament after four test matches. He scored an outstanding 73 in the first innings of the fourth test and 37 in the second. He has played just 8 matches in the international test and he is just 29 runs away from the 1000 runs.
He also got a massive boost of 28 rating points after his magnificent innings and climbed 3 spots to reach the 12th position. Now 12th, 13th, and 14th positions are held by Indian players (Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma, and Rishabh Pant respectively).
When it comes to bowling, Jasprit Bumrah and Ashwin are there at the top two spots with 867 and 846 rating points respectively. James Anderson, who was sharing the 8th spot with Nathon Lyon, is now ranked 10 after the IND vs ENG 4th Test with a 742 rating.
Ravindra Jadeja is ranked 6th in the table and Kuldeep Yadav climbed 10 spots to reach the 32nd rank with a 555 rating.
Joe Root also climbed up in the All-rounder’s rankings and he gained 17 rating points to reach 4th rank. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin are still the top two in the rankings. With a 50+ inning in the first innings of the fourth test, Ollie Robinson also climbed 7 spots to reach 17th rank in the latest rankings.
