Last night, Mumbai Indians came up with an excellent display of teamwork against UP Warriorz. Winning the toss, Mumbai opted to bat first and found UP Warriorz celebrating early in the innings. Quick 30+ scores from Nat Sciver, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Amelia Kerr helped Mumbai to reach a good score and S Sanjana’s cameo towards the end pushed MI’s score to 160 at the end of 20 overs. 161 didn’t look enough on that surface and UP Warriorz batting line-up but MI were confident.
Shabnim Ismail, Shaika Ishaq, and Nat were too good with the new ball and picked up 3 wickets inside the first powerplay, and 4th under 10 overs and just gave away less than 50 runs. Deepti Sharma kept one end strong and started counterattack but wickets kept falling from the other end.
