The 2024 T20 World Cup warm up match between India and Bangladesh is set to take place on Saturday, 1st June at New York’s newly built Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. The warm up fixture will commence at 8:00 pm IST.

Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue will be playing just a single warm – up game in New York ahead of the main phase of 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States of America.
The Indian Cricket Team have received a huge boost as star – batter Virat Kohli is anticipated to arrive in the city of New York before the warm up game against Bangladesh.
Kohli had earlier requested BCCI for a short break following the end of his IPL 2024 campaign in the playoffs with Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, Indian Cricket Team’s 15 player squad for this year’s mega event has reached the United States of America in batches.
Head coach Rahul Dravid, skipper Rohit Sharma, batting – coach Vikram Rathour and other players part of the first traveling contingent batch including Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and reserve players Khaleel Ahmed and Shubman Gill arrived in New York City on 27th May.
The second batch of players, including Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Avesh Khan and Yuzvendra Chahal joined their fellow teammates in New York on 28th May.
India are a part of group A alongside Ireland, USA, Canada and arch rivals Pakistan.
Rohit Sharma and company will kick off their 2024 T20 World Cup campaign on 5th June against Ireland at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium of New York.
The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash will take place on 9th June at the same venue as well. Following the conclusion of the first two group stage games, the Men in Blue will then lock horns against co – hosts USA on 12th June and Canada on 15th June. All of India’s 2024 T20 World Cup games will begin at 8:00 pm IST.
Bangladesh on the other hand will head into the warm up fixture against the Indians after their previous warm up fixture against co-hosts USA got washed out due to constant rains and thunderstorms in the city of Dallas on Tuesday.
The Bangla Tigers will be looking to get back to winning ways quickly after suffering a humiliating 1-2 T20i series loss against the United States of America in the recently concluded three game series last week.
The warm – up fixture between India and Bangladesh will be played in the regular 20 over format but it will not have any kind of an international status thereby allowing both the sides to field all 15 players of their respective squads.
IND vs BAN: Head to Head records in T20 Internationals
India and Bangladesh have played a total of 13 T20 International games against each other and out of these 13 matches, 12 have been won by the Men in Blue while the Bangla Tigers have finished victorious on just one occasion.
Their last meeting in the shortest format of the game was in the semi final of the 2022 Asian Games Cricket competition in China’s Hangzhou in October 2023, where the Men in Blue defeated Bangladesh easily by nine wickets.
