As we all know, the T20 World Cup is currently in its initial phase where 20 teams are grinding hard for those top 8 spots. Just before the ICC tournament, there were a couple of bilateral T20I series played between England and Pakistan, USA and Bangladesh, and West Indies and South Africa. This update in the T20I Player Rankings is just after the completion of those T20I series.
Bangladesh lost the T20I series against USA and it was a historic win for them to defeat a test-playing nation with that authority. USA won the series by 2-1 where the World’s number 1 Allrounder Shakib al Hasan had a mediocre kind of tournament. He took just 1 wicket in all three T20Is and couldn’t do much with the bat, therefore, he lost a couple of ratings and also lost the long-held number 1 position in the ICC T20I Allrounders Rankings.
South Africa also traveled West Indies for a 3-match T20I series. West Indies looked unbeatable in that series and they are one of the strongest contenders for the T20 World Cup 2024. West Indies won the bilateral series 3-0 and marked their stamp on the doors of World Cup 2024.
Pakistan toured England and lost the 4-match T20I series by a 2-0 scoreline. Two matches were washed out and ENGLAND won the remaining two. Buttler, the skipper of England was up to the mark and got good assistance from the team in both matches.
