The preliminary stage ends on June 18 with West Indies taking on Afghanistan in the last group match in St Lucia. Subsequently, Super 8s begins on June 19 in Antigua.

Notably, the USA became the latest side to enter the second round of the T20 World Cup 2024. USA’s qualification meant that Pakistan, the 2009 T20 World Cup champions, stand eliminated from the tournament owing to their abysmal performance.
Among the teams that have qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024, the Super 8s are Australia, India, South Africa, West Indies, Afghanistan, and the USA. The details of the remaining two sides will be known to us in the coming days.
The first Super 8 fixture will be between the USA and South Africa on June 19 in Antigua. Team India will kickstart their Super 8 show against Afghanistan a day after the kickstart of the round.
