India Expected playing 11 against Zimbabwe in 1st T20I

As soon as the T20 World Cup 2024 is over, the Indian T20I squad has changed completely. After the retirement of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja, the responsibility of the shortest format has now fallen on the new Indian players. The Indian team will land to Zimbabwe and play a five-match T20I series, the first match of which will be played on July 6 at Harare Sports Club.

BCCI has announced the T20I squad against Zimbabwe. The responsibility of the team is on the shoulders of Shubman Gill. Abhishek Sharma and Riyan Parag will represent the Indian team for the first time.

Talking about the playing 11 of the Indian team, it is being speculated that captain Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal can be seen opening. Gaikwad and Abhishek Sharma are also contenders for opening but at present they may not get a place in the first two matches.

In the middle order we might see Sanju Samson at no. 3, Riyan Parag at 4, Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh at 5th and 6th position respectively.

Washington Sundar can definitely get a place in the playing 11, Sundar helps the team with his spin variations as well as batting.

The pace trio should consist of Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar, and Khaleel Ahmed, with Ravi Bishnoi serving as the spinner.
