India vs England 4th Test: Pitch looks similar to the previous one: Joe Root.

India vs England 4th Test: England skipper on Wednesday said that the pitch for the last test match looks very much similar to that they saw in the second and third test match. Root also tola that players are now ready to accept the challenge and have learnt their lessons from the past two trounces.

IN the four-game test series, India is ahead of England with a 2-1 lead. India needs to win the last game or at least take it to a draw and they will qualify for the ICC World Test Championship final.

“It’s (the pitch) looking very similar…I think the most important thing is that we learn all the lessons from the last two, two test matches and make sure we’re back for it,” Root said.

He further told that we want to bounce back and will try to get some pressure off the scoreboard. He also said that there is no point in discussing the tracks. Everyone had their own predefined definition of good and bad pitches but his players strive for a fantastic show of cricket by them.

“We have nicely done our homework and will try to implement here in the game against India. We just try to be better with the pitch here and outplay India. This will sum up a very nice tour for us.”

“As batsmen when you fail to put up good runs and partnerships, you look at yourselves and try to get better and improve.”

Root said that they have found ways to get runs off the board and build nice partnerships if the surface behaves the same this time around.

As of now, England is up for the last test with two changes in the playing 11. Dom Bess and Dan Lawerence are in for Jofra Archer and Stuart Broad.

To finish off the conversation, Root backed all the English players who are out of form lately, especially Ben Stokes. He said I hope he comes back on track and gets good runs for us for one final time in this series.
