ENGvsIND: English pacer Jofra Archer to miss entire England vs India test series & IPL.
ENGvsIND: England Test team suffers a big blow ahead of the India vs England test series as ace pacer Jofra Archer is expected to miss the entire five matches test series as well as phase 2 of the Vivo IPL 2021. Archer, who was earlier diagnosed with a right elbow stress fracture is very unlikely to take part in either of the tournaments as he is still recovering from his injury.
The pacer was earlier supposed to join the English test team ahead of the third test match against India, however, his persisting injury concern may rule him out of the entire India test series. Archer featured in just one T20 game post his injury in which he felt he is not completely fit to take part in the longest format.
The English team is already short of their premier all-rounder Ben Stokes, who earlier announced an indefinite break from international cricket to take care of his mental health. If Archer couldn’t come back on time, England might miss his services against India’s class batting unit.

Big Blow for Rajasthan Royals (RR) as well:
The news of Jofra Archer also came as a blow to the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR). The franchise was expecting the return of the pacer for the second half of the IPL 2021 which is staged in the UAE, starting September 19.
Royals missed the services of the English pacer in the first half as he was ruled out after the completion of the India vs England test series in Ahmedabad. The pacer underwent surgery to remove glass fragments from his right elbow.
Rajasthan Royals are placed fifth in the points table as of now with three wins in seven matches. Skipper Sanju Samson made good use of his limited resources available in the first half, however, the second half of the IPL will be tough as all the teams will leave no stone unturned to outperform the opposition.
