VIVO IPL 2021: CSK aims to land in the UAE on 13th August and begin preparations for Vivo IPL 2021.
VIVO IPL 2021: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Vishwanath has confirmed that the yellow contingent is planning to reach UAE on 13th August (Friday) to begin the preparations for the upcoming second leg of the Indian Premier League 2021. However, he also revealed that they are yet to receive permission from the authorities in the UAE.
Speaking to ANI today, CSK CEO said that the available players and support staff are already undergoing their quarantine as per the SOP’s laid down by BCCI and IPL 2021.
“We need approval from the UAE government to land there and that is something we are waiting for. Our crew is already in quarantine as per the SOP and everyone is ready. The BCCI is looking to get us the approval and we are hoping to get the green signal by tomorrow,” he said.
The CSK officials are expected to receive official permission by tomorrow as the BCCI is constantly having discussions with the authorities in the UAE.
The second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on 19th September with arch-rivals Mumbai Indians (MI) taking on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Dubai International Stadium.

Chennai skipper MS Dhoni has also arrived to undergo quarantine in Chennai before heading out to the UAE.
MS Dhoni-led CSK holds the second spot in the IPL 2021 points table with five wins out of seven matches. The franchise successfully went over to erase the humiliating memories of last year’s IPL, where they finished second last in the points table.
