Vivo IPL 2021: Much ahead of the beginning of the second phase of the Vivo IPL 2021 the franchises have gone through a big blow due to the unavailability of their respective overseas players. A couple of individuals have already pulled out of the tournament citing their personal reasons.
The fourteenth season of the Indian Premier League was started back in April, however, the second wave of the dreaded virus forced the officials to abruptly suspend the league. The BCCI managed to complete 29 matches until a stop was forced by the officials. The remaining 31 matches are scheduled to be staged in the UAE, starting September 19 with Mumbai Indians (MI) facing Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Although, all the cricket boards across the globe have granted permission to the cricketers, after a comprehensive meeting with the BCCI, to participate in the gala Indian tournament, however, a few cricketers have withdrawn from the league.

Complete List of Players who have pulled out of the Vivo IPL 2021
Pat Cummins (KKR): The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) signed Australian pacer is set to miss the upcoming leg of the IPL 2021. Cummins and his wife are expecting their first child during the IPL 2021 and the cricketer wants to be with the family during these special times.

Jos Buttler (RR): Rajasthan Royals (RR) and England’s wicket keeping batsman, Jos Buttler, will also miss the IPL 2021 due to similar reasons just like Pat Cummins. Jos and his wife are expecting their second child during the IPL.
Adam Zampa (RCB): The Australian spinner, Adam Zampa, is not available for the Vivo IPL 2021. The cricketer has conveyed the message to his franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore. Zampa was available in the first half, for a few games, and later pulled out of the tournament due to the covid situations in India.
Kane Richardson (RCB): Australian bowling all-rounder, Kane Richardson, is also unavailable for the upcoming matches of the IPL. Richardson has cited personal reasons for withdrawing his name from the tournament.
Riley Meredith and Jhye Richardson (PBKS): The duo of Punjab Kings (PBKS) is also missing the second phase of the IPL 2021. The franchise informed that Riley Meredith and Jhye Richardson will not be participating in the IPL due to some personal reasons.
Jofra Archer (RR): The premier England and Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer is ruled out of the IPL 2021. In fact, Archer is comprehensively ruled out for the entire year due to his elbow injury.
Ben Stokes (RR) (Unconfirmed): Although no official confirmation has been made, English ace all-rounder Ben Stokes is very unlikely to play IPL 2021. Stokes is recovering from his finger injury, which he sustained during the first phase of the IPL 2021. Moreover, he is on an indefinite break to take care of his mental wellbeing.
