India vs Sri Lanka 1st T20I Prediction: After conquering the Caribbean challenge convincingly in both ODIs and T20Is, team India is straight away up for the second challenge. India will host island nation, Sri Lanka for the three games T20I series followed by two test matches in the coming few days.
Even before the series could start, the hosts have sustained a couple of blows as premier batsman Suryakumar Yadav and pacer Deepak Chahar have been ruled out due to thumb and hamstring injury respectively. Senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and ace seamer Jasprit Bumrah are also back to the squad. Both the cricketers will be featuring in the 1st T20I against Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka have recently returned after getting a 1-4 defeat in the five games T20I series in Australia. The island nation could only manage to win a single game against the Aussies.
Following the defeat against Australia, Sri Lanka would be disappointed, but they will look to end their series losing performance as they lock horns against India, today in Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium.
Team India will be without Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant in the T20I series. Both the players have been rested to manage their workload.

Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium hasn’t hosted a lot of international fixtures till date. Only 4 T20Is have been played here out of which India has played just one. The other three T20Is were played between Afghanistan and West Indies.
In the last T20I India played here, Rohit Sharma produced an unbeaten knock of 111 runs and defended the total against West Indies. This is a good batting track with batters getting a good amount of help from the pitch. Seamers will also get a decent aid from the surface for the entire match. Anything above 180 would be considered a decent score to defend.
