Watch Rohit Sharma training in the nets after testing covid negative

Watch Rohit Sharma training in the nets after testing covid negative: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is sweating out in the nets ahead of England vs India T20I series after recovering from covid-19. Sharma, who was tested covid positive a few days ago, is now finally out of the isolation.

On Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video on its various social media platforms of the Indian captain practising in the nets at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Sharma was seen facing R Ashwin and Umesh Yadav.

“@ImRo45 – out and about in the nets! Gearing up for some white-ball cricket,” wrote BCCI in the caption.

Notably, Rohit Sharma will be available for selection in the T20Is from the first match. While the other test-bound players such as Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah etc. will be available from the second match onwards.

The 35-years old Indian batter had to miss the ongoing fifth rescheduled test match against England due to the covid-19 virus. Sharma returned covid positive on three consecutive tests after he was found covid-positive in the Rapid Antigen Test done on day two of the warm-up test match.

As per the covid protocols, the player is advised to take adequate rest and undergo cardiovascular tests to check for the proper functionality of the lungs. Hence, Rohit didn’t participate in the second warm-up T20 match against Northamptonshire on 3rd July.
