Uttarakhand CM appoint Rishabh Pant as the brand ambassador for sports in the state: Star Indian glovesman Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand youth sports. Uttarkhand’s Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami confirmed the development via a tweet, on 10th August.
Interestingly, Rishabh Pant, who hails from Roorkee in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, plays for Delhi in the domestic tournaments and in the IPL.
Pushkar Singh Dhami said Rishabh Pant’s achievements on the international stage at such a young age will inspire the youth of the state.
“He has carved a niche for himself in the world of cricket. He has done both his state and the country proud. Honouring him as the brand ambassador will inspire young people in the field of sports to carve an identity of their own,” Dhami said.
Despite coming from a very ordinary background, Rishabh Pant has earned numerous accolades in the field of cricket only at the age of 24-years.
The 24-year-old cricketer thanked Uttarakhand’s CM for believing in him and presenting him with this responsibility.
“Thank you @pushkardhami ji for giving me this opportunity, It is no doubt a great feeling and also a huge responsibility. My message to all the young folks is that, you can achieve anything you want as long as you believe in yourself and set your mind to it and work hard,” Rishabh Pant wrote in a Tweet on Thursday.

Rishabh Pant to return in action in Asia Cup 2022:
Rishabh Pant is currently rested by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for India’s upcoming Zimbabwe tour, which comprises three ODIs. The flamboyant cricketer will return to action in the Asia Cup 2022, starting August 27.
Pant is named alongside Dinesh Karthik in the Indian squad. With Virat Kohli and KL Rahul making their way back in the Indian side, it will be a good headache for the management to fit both the wicketkeeper’s into the playingXI, or to drop one.
