ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2022: The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is not far away now and is scheduled to be held in Australia at later end of October. Many players who were part of the team in Asia Cup 2022 can also be part of the T20 World Cup 2022. However, there may be some changes in the Indian team. India’s three out of five matches in the Asia Cup were quite satisfactory, leaving the two inauspicious losses in the most important Super 4 matches aside.
One of the major drawbacks was the absence of a proper finisher to end the Indian innings in the last overs. Indian bowlers were at the crease to bat in the last two overs during both the matches against Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
India’s probable middle order for the ICC T20 World Cup, predicted by Pujara and Uthappa:
In the recent discussion about the Indian middle order on T20 Time Out Show, Pujara was asked, what changes would he make to the Indian side for World Cup 2022. He instantly responded “If I have to Pick my number 5,6, and 7 batters, with the kind of Asia Cup we had, we need to strengthen our batting line-up, I would go with Rishabh at no. 5, Hardik at no. 6, and DK at 7. We need to include both Rishabh and DK unless you are looking for Hooda to bowl a few overs. If he Bowls, then I think Rishabh misses out.”

On asking for the replacement of Jadeja in the World Cup, he added “they will try it out as there is no certainty at this time, they’ll have to figure it out in the Next series before World Cup. They will rotate and try available options, it could be Axar or Bishnoi. It is still very complicated at this time.
While Uthappa says “I want Deepak Hooda at no. 5, as he is batting really good at this time so make the most of it. Hooda at 5, Hardik at 6, and DK at 7.” Both Uthappa and Pujara are in agreement that Dinesh Karthik makes his place in the Twenty20 World Cup side
