Team India departs for Australia for ICC T20 World Cup 2022, See Images: The Rohit Sharma-led Indian contingent, minus the reserve players, have departed for Australia to take part in the eighth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. 14 members of the Indian team flew to Australia along with the coaching staff to begin their preparations for the World Cup.

The BCCI’s social media handles were lit by the pictures of Indian cricketers dressed up in suits for their departure for Australia.

“Picture perfect. Let’s do this #TeamIndia. @cricketworldcup, here we come,” the BCCI wrote as they shared the picture.

Notably, team India is scheduled to lock horns with Pakistan in their opening match at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on 23rd October.

Indian former skipper Virat Kohli and sensation T20 batter Suryakumar Yadav also shared a few pictures along with their teammates on their personal social media profiles. While Virat was seen with Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal, Suryakumar Yadav posted a picture sharing the frame with Rishabh Pant, Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik.

It’s important to note that the BCCI hasn’t named any replacement for Jasprit Bumrah, who has been ruled out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The Indian cricket board is foreseen to take time in naming Bumrah’s replacement as the pacer’s qualities are almost impossible to match by any bowler.

India face death bowling woes ahead of T20 World Cup 2022:

Rohit Sharma and Co recently cleaned up South Africa in the three-match T20I series by winning the opening two matches. Although the series had a lot of learning elements that the Indians can pick, one of the major weaknesses that popped up was death bowling.

The Indian bowlers looked rusty, especially in the death overs. Plenty of runs were leaked and it looked almost inevitable that the Indians won’t be able to defend a 200-plus run total.

Moreover, with Jasprit Bumrah missing the T20 World Cup 2022, this issue flares even bigger. To make a bold statement in the forthcoming World Cup, team India will have to find ways to tackle the death bowling woes, otherwise, it will just be another tournament which will be slipped out of hand.
