T20 World Cup 2022 Format:
The format for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 is very simple yet interesting. The Super 12 round will be when the actual tournament will begin. Clearly, 12 teams will be there in the Super12 round of which eight will be the automatic qualifiers (this includes Australia, England, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and South Africa) while the remaining four teams will enter the Super 12 after taking part in the qualifying round.
The qualifying round will comprise eight teams – Netherlands, Sri Lanka, UAE, Namibia, Ireland, West Indies, Scotland and Zimbabwe. These eight teams will play out the qualifying round. The top four teams from here will head to the Super12 round where they will join the already qualified eight sides.

A total prize pool of $5.6 Million is announced for the eighth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia. The winner of the tournament at Melbourne on 13th November will take home $1.6 Million while the runner-up will be awarded prize half of the winners. The losing semi-finalist will receive $400,000. Besides this, each win in the Super12 stage will earn teams $40,000.
