Virat Kohli reacts to the viral incident. The Indian team has made a strong start to its T20 World Cup campaign. The men in blue currently sit second in their group with 4 points in 3 matches. However, amidst all the excitement regarding the team and its players, one topic which has become viral recently is none other than Virat Kohli. However, this time around, the star batsman wasn’t being discussed by everyone for his brilliance on the field but due to his personal hotel room being spread across the various social media platforms.
It was supposedly on the same day when India suffered a loss to South Africa in its third T20 World Cup game in Australia when the incident took place all of a sudden. The entire thing took place at a hotel in Perth whose name was later known to be “Crown Perth“. One of the fans who had managed to find their way inside Virat’s personal hotel room without his consent made a video wherein he scanned the entire room without Virat noticing it. The clip of the video was initially posted on TikTok with the user adding a caption—”King Kohli’s hotel room.”
Virat Kohli’s response
Virat Kohli shared an Instagram post a day later wherein he expressed his annoyance over the incident. The 33-year-old said that the video of his hotel room that was surfacing on the internet was appalling and that it made him feel very paranoid about his own privacy. “If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?” Virat Kohli said, questioning his fans in his post. The batsman finally said that he was absolutely not OK with this sort of “fanaticism” and urged all his fans to respect the privacy of other people.
It was later known that an employee of the Crown Perth hotel was involved in the incident. They fired the employee as soon as the mishap was brought to their attention.
To talk about India’s World T20 campaign, the men in blue had to suffer their first defeat of the competition against South Africa at Perth by 5 wickets. The team currently has a strong chance of making it to the semi-finals despite their recent loss as it already has 4 points to its name in 3 matches. Their next game will be against Bangladesh on November 2 at Adelaide Oval.
