Mohammed Shami not chosen for BGT 2024-25 as a fast bowler ordered to do this

India fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been doing rounds for his availability for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The fast bowler, who is making his return from the injury, has been putting hard yards in the domestic circuit.

Mohammed Shami, who was injured during the ICC World Cup 2023, made his return to cricket in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. He played one game in the tournament and then featured for Bengal in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25 and played a decent role for the team.

There were a lot of reports that Mohammed Shami is being monitored by the NCA team, and he will soon be flying to Australia. It is learned that the fast bowler will soon be sent to Australia and will be playing in the last two games of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Melbourne and Sydney.

It was learned that Mohammed Shami will be joining India in Brisbane. But the fast bowler won't be playing the third game. With many excited over fast bowler being available for the last two games, a fresh development related to the fast bowler has suggested curtains for him in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

Mohammed Shami has been named in the Bengal squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Mohammed Shami has been named in the Bengal squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The tournament will be played at the beginning of the second half of December and coinciding with the last leg of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This suggests that he might not play in the five-match Test series.

The NCA team is expected to give clearance for international cricket to Mohammed Shami only when he is at his 100%. During the Ranji Trophy as well as the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25, he showed some discomfort and he is yet to attain his 100%.

There are chances that Mohammed Shami might make international cricket return in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament will be played in February-March next year, and before that, the fast bowler will be playing a lot of cricket, making sure that he gets back to his full fitness.

Shami's absence in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 has been quite evident. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, no pacer has looked settled with the ball. The premier fast bowler hasn't got the support from the other pacers.
