Watch: Sigh of relief for India! Jasprit Bumrah returns to the nets

Watch: Sigh of relief for India! Jasprit Bumrah returns to the nets

In what has been a massive boost for the Indian team, Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the nets ahead of the third Test against Australia. The third match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 will be played at the Brisbane in Gabba from Saturday (14th December).

Clouds were hovering over the fitness of Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the next Test against Australia in Brisbane. The fast bowler since the last Test hasn't looked fit as he faced a niggle in Adelaide and then there were several reports about him not being fit for the next match.

Jasprit Bumrah, in the second innings of the Adelaide Test, bowled just one over. Not only this, he was also down with the speed as well and it sparked rumours about his fitness. To worsen the case more, he didn't attend India's practice session for the third Test in Adelaide and was seen spending time with a strength and conditioning coach.

But in a positive development, Jasprit Bumrah made his return to nets on Thursday (12th December). The fast bowler started his practice session with few leg breaks balls but after that returned to his full tilt and was seen bowling at the full pace in the net session.

As per the Journalist Bharat Sundaresan, Jasprit Bumrah was seen bowling at full title to KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal. He was being a handful to both Indian batsmen as all the focus was on him as he made his return to the nets after missing the last few sessions.

Jasprit Bumrah will be extremely important for India in the rest of the series. The fast bowler is the leading wicket-taker in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 with 12 wickets to his name from 2 games. With the way he is playing, the number is only expected to rise.

Jasprit Bumrah has been the main reason why India is fighting hard in the series. He claimed a five-wicket haul in the first innings and then, after that, picked a four-fer in Adelaide as well. He would want to add more to his tally and help India win the next game.
