Ruturaj Gaikwad played both the games against Australia and scored 79 runs. He will now head out to lead team India in the Asian Games 2023. Tilak Varma couldn’t get the opportunity in both games. Mukesh Kumar was included as the replacement for Jasprit Bumrah, for the second ODI only. Prasidh Krishna got to showcase his prowess in the second ODI with two wickets in the fixture, one of which was Steve Smith for a golden duck.
RESTED: Additionally, the BCCI has rested opener Shubman Gill and all-rounder Shardul Thakur from the upcoming 3rd ODI. Both the players plied their trade in the first two games against Australia.
