After Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik joins the Legends League Cricket

After Shikhar Dhawan, another big Indian name, Dinesh Karthik, joins the Legends League Cricket.


Shikhar Dhawan announced his retirement from cricket on Saturday, and since then he has been in the buzz and often received huge appreciation for his contributions to Indian cricket. Dhawan has been a great slave to Indian cricket, as he has played 200+ matches across formats for India, having scored 12000+ runs for the Men in Blue.

Dhawan was often known as Mr.ICC because of his amazing records in ICC tournaments, as he won the Wolden bat twice in the Champions Trophies in 2013 and 2017, while also emerging as India’s highest scorer in the World Cup 2015.

Shikhar Dhawan has also been part of the IPL since its first season in 2008, as he emerged playing for Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals, and lastly the Punjab Kings. Now having retired from both international and domestic cricket, Dhawan can participate in other global tournaments like the Legends League Cricket.

Dhawan, after 2 days of announcing his retirement, claimed to be back on the field playing the sport in the LLC. Now, following him Dinesh Karthik has also joined the LLC.

What more would you do in your career, Karthik? A question that often stirs in your mind is rightly so, as Dinesh Karthik first was seen as a commentator in the T20 World Cup and was later announced as the mentor of the Royal Challengers Bangalore post his retirement from the IPL.


A month ago, DK, who is renowned as a world-class finisher, became the first Indian cricketer to be drafted in for the SA20, as he was about to make his debut for the Paarl Royals. Now, Dinesh Karthik has officially announced joining the Legends League Cricket, as the tournament gets better with time.
