The Australian Wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carrey recently opined his thoughts on the series. While the English are strategising over fast flat wickets, the Australian pace attack will be ready to counter their strategies under the leadership of Pat Cummins.

We’ve heard some stuff in the media what the wickets might be like, the boundaries, etc, [and] the way [England] are playing at the moment, it is eye-catching. I’d like to think we aren’t surprised now [with] the way they’ll come out and play,”

“The tactical stuff will start to take place over the next couple of weeks, but I don’t see us falling into our batters going out and trying to score at the same rate. We’ll do it differently, we’ve had some serious success in the last 18-24 months playing the style we want to play in different conditions and lucky enough to be rewarded with a spot in the World Test Championship [final], We are excited to come over to their backyard and take on a team that’s playing some eye-catching cricket. As a player, it’s going to be a hot contest, and I’m smiling just thinking about that first Test,”
